been coming back to this song everyday for the past few days or so. i havent understood it entirely and still dont but these guys just unlocked a super old memory for me! i didnt get what he was talking about with 7 up and thumbs but today it clicked! 7 up was that game where everyone put there head down on the desk and you walked around and touched peoples thumbs and then they guessed! good times man good times.

I grew up in twin, the song feeling is pretty accurate. Things got dark before leaving for me, ill never return. I didn't attend Harrison, i went to Lincoln, was a cool school in many ways actually.

I discovered this song when I was about 16 or 17, and I had never felt so recognized before... I was born and raised in Twin Falls, ID. Hearing this song was and is still so weird, like I know where Harrison elementary is! It's wack, that a prominent alt band could represent such a seemingly insignificant area. But I have a complicated relationship with that town. Growing up, all I wanted was to get out... I wanted to move to Boise, Portland, Seattle, even New York or London. But then again, some of my best memories are rooted there. I eventually did move to Boise; I found my people and a place where I felt like I really belonged. I love my hometown very much, but I don't think I could move back again. I know that this song is an anthem for everyone who grew up in a dead-end town, who want to move on to bigger and better places... But when I hear this song, it's like it's just for me, or for my mom (who also grew up there), or for anyone who felt/feels stuck in Twin Falls.

One of the most georgeous songs I've ever listened to. Everything about it makes me feel painfully nostalgic.

This song is crazy. The performance on this recording delivers so much emotion and the transition into some and it's opening solo is some of the most emotional guitar playing I've heard. These lyrics are so effective at conveying the emotion of growing up and forgetting the world you grew up in. It makes me so sad but also so inspired listening to this song. I love this band so much
